PERUVIAN ADVENTURE, JUNE 20-29, 2020

Join us as we travel to Peru with Natural Expeditions (the same company which took us to Costa Rica). This 10-day adventure begins as we fly into Lima.  Get to know the “City of Kings” as we see various attractions on a morning excursion of Lima before departing for Lake Titicaca, the highest commercially navigated lake in the world. We will visit the Uros Floating Islands made of floating reeds where we tour homes, see the colorful crafts and  experience  a traditional reed boat ride.  Our trip also takes us to places such as Pukura which features military architectural ruins, a scenic drive along the Andrean Plateau, and to the famous “Inca Temple of Racchi” in the village of Sicuani.  See how their colorful clothing is created in Awanacancha, home to a famous weaving center. Watch this amazing artistry at work as they turn harvested wool from llamas, alpacas, vicunas, and guanacos into Peruvian clothing and more. ALBUQUERQUE BALLOON FIESTA, OCTOBER 2-7 & 9-14, 2020

Enjoy New Mexico in October as hundreds of balloons paint the skies at the lift off from Fiesta Park.  This annual event, which began in 1972, features over 600 balloons from all over the world.  Experience the “mass ascension” of all of the balloons lifting of at sunrise.  This trip features a tour of Albuquerque along with witnessing the burners of almost 500 balloons filling the night sky and topping the event off with a fireworks display.  Explore Old Town, enjoy a private tour of the Pueblo Cultural Center which features and exclusive live performance of a Native American Troup, visit the Loretto Chapel in Sante Fe, the Pecos National Historic Park which features the site of the Battle of Gloreta Pass (the western most battle of the Civil War), along with time to explore many wonderful southwestern locations and shop at unique gift shops along the way. Registration is open!

A TENNESSEE CHRISTMAS, MEMPHIS & NASHVILLE, NOVEMBER 16-21, 2020

2021 Extended Trips

CHESAPEAKE BAY GETAWAY, APRIL 28-MAY 5, 2021

Join us for this unique, historic, springtime pilgrimage to America’s Mid-Atlantic Region.  This scenic getaway features a wide variety of topography from the meandering shoreline of Chesapeake Bay to the Atlantic Ocean to the mountainous Skyline Drive of the Shenandoah National Park. 

We will see many historic sites on this trip including Colonial Williamsburg, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Historic Jamestown, Yorktown American Revolution Museum, Fort McHenry, Baltimore, Charming Annapolis, United States Naval Academy, First Landing Cross, Shenandoah National Park, Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, have a guided tour of Washington DC, and so much more! 

In addition to all of these wonderful locations, we will also attend the Virginia International Military Tattoo.  This amazing event hosts 1500 performers including military bands, bagpipers, Celtic dancers, drill teams, choirs and drummers from countries across the world.  This one-of-a-kind event combines music, military and the arts to create an absolutely unforgettable experience.

THE HISTORIC TRAINS OF COLORADO, SEPTEMBER 9-16, 2021

The trains are running next September through the majestic beauty that is Colorado.  As we arrive in Denver our journey begins as we travel towards Colorado Springs with a stop at the famous US Air Force Academy.  This trip includes five historic train excursions.  Experience majestic views aboard the Pikes Peak Cog Railway featuring incredible views of the Colorado Rockies. Enjoy the view aboard a Vista Dome car on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad.  Our trip continues as we take the original route of the Rio Grande Line aboard the historic coal fired Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad as we travel through narrow canyons, tunnels, and many more scenic views along the Rockies. The next train ride on the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is one of the “Top Ten Most Exciting Train Journeys in the World” featuring breathtaking views of the San Juan National Forest. From snow-capped mountains to rushing mountain streams, this ride will showcase some of the most beautiful views that are iconic to Colorado.  The last historic train included is aboard the Georgetown Loop Railroad. Don’t miss out on taking photos of the spectacular views and one-of-a-kind vistas of Clear Creek Valley.
