EVERYTHING IS JUST PEACHY!, AUGUST 11-12, 2019
Everything is coming up peaches this year as we travel to Grafton, IL for their annual Peach Festival held at the historic Pere Marquette Park Lodge & Conference Center. Other highlights include a stop at the Treehouse Wildlife Center, a ferry ride to Brussels, and a stop at Principia College, and so much more!
HIDDEN GEMS OF CHICAGO, OCTOBER 3-4, 2019
Join us on this overnight trip to Chicago as we discover unique and exciting places to see and tour. Our trip starts in the historic Lincoln Park area. Developed by German Americans, this location is rich with hidden gems. Our time here features a step on guide of the area, a German family-style meal, and a guided tour of DANK Haus featuring a German Heritage Cultural Museum. The afternoon continues with a visit to a cellar. The afternoon also includes a stop at a small, but important city gallery rich with Chicago history. Next, we arrive at our hotel, the Millennium Knickerbocker, where we will receive an architectural tour of the hotel while our luggage is being delivered to our rooms. Dinner is on your own with an optional to see a Broadway Production next door at Water Tower Place. The next morning begins with an “Underground Donut Tour” followed with a tour from the Chicago Architectural Foundation called “The Devil in the White City.” We complete our trip with a visit to Working Bikes. These folks are changing lives one bicycle at a time by providing refurbished bikes to Central America and parts of Africa. PERUVIAN ADVENTURE, JUNE 20-29, 2020
Join us as we travel to Peru with Natural Expeditions (the same company which took us to Costa Rica). This 10-day adventure begins as we fly into Lima. Get to know the “City of Kings” as we see various attractions on a morning excursion of Lima before departing for Lake Titicaca, the highest commercially navigated lake in the world. ALBUQUERQUE BALLOON FIESTA, OCTOBER 2-7, 2020
Enjoy New Mexico in October as hundreds of balloons paint the skies at the lift off from Fiesta Park. This annual event, which began in 1972, features over 600 balloons from all over the world. Experience the “mass ascension” of all of the balloons lifting of at sunrise. This trip features a tour of Albuquerque along with witnessing the burners of almost 500 balloons filling the night sky and topping the event off with a fireworks display. Explore Old Town, enjoy a private tour of the Pueblo Cultural Center which features and exclusive live performance of a Native American Troup, visit the Loretto Chapel in Sante Fe, the Pecos National Historic Park which features the site of the Battle of Gloreta Pass (the western most battle of the Civil War), along with time to explore many wonderful southwestern locations and shop at unique gift shops along the way.
