ALL THINGS INDY - INDIANAPOLIS, IN

We begin our visit with a German-Fest style tour as we venture back in time by experiencing a beloved historic German clubhouse, historically referenced as a "house of culture." Discover the rich history of Athenaeum, known as the Das Deutsche Haus and how German immigrants and their families helped build Indianapolis. While touring the Athenaeum, we will access rooms normally hid-den from public view, indulge in samples of traditional German food and beverages, and participate in German-inspired activities.

Then, we are off to tour the Catacombs located below Market Street. These interconnected tunnels, constructed more than a hundred years ago, were used for food transportation in the days before refrigeration. More than a century later, this hidden gem is one of only a dozen or so catacombs sites that still exist in America. Before we depart, enjoy browsing the vendors at the City Market .

Our last stop features a tour of Lucas Oil Stadium, a.k.a. the Indianapolis Colts Football Stadium. This multipurpose structure, which opened in 2008, covers approximately 1.8 million square feet. Get a sneak peak behind-the-scenes of this high tech stadium which also serves as a venue for basketball, soccer, concerts, and more.

Cost:  $122 per person

Fee Includes: Tours and food as listed above, motor coach transportation, all associated taxes and tips.

Pick Up:  America's Best Hotel in Wenona at 5:45 a.m., Holiday Inn and Suites Bloomington (near airport) at 6:30 a.m.

COVID PROTOCOLS:

Anthenaeum & Catacombs - Indiana Landmarks reserves the right to require face coverings or other accommodations based on public health guidelines.

Lucas Oil Stadium - Will determine requirements as we get closer to the guided tour and public required guidelines.

Motor Coach - Continue the expectation of wearing a mask while aboard the motor coach unless notified by Vista Club.

COVID-related policies continue to be constantly changing. While the above information provides the current COVID-related policies from each vendor, we cannot guarantee that these policies will remain the same by the time of the trip. Vista Club monitors vendor policies on a regular basis to ensure travelers are notified of any changes as soon as possible so all paid travelers can prepare properly for the trip.
