Vista Club - Bloomington - Operation Normandy -- POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2014
For One Night Only, Vista Club presents... "Operation Normandy" Featuring...
"D-Day: A Father's Journey" by Chuck Erickson & An Andrew Sisters Musical Review by the Legacy Girls
This year is the 70th Anniversary of the invasion on Normandy (a.k.a. D–Day). Chuck Erickson will share the story about his father's journey as a foot soldier: what he experienced on D-Day, what they endured at Omaha Beach, along with photos throughout the presentation. Then, get ready to boogie woogie back to the 40s as the Legacy Girls take the stage and perform such hits as Chattanooga Choo Choo, Alexander's Ragtime Band, & Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Come early and enjoy Happy Hour while you stroll among historical displays from D-Day along with a 50-flag display - one from every state in the union. Our evening will include the singing of the national anthem by Jim Meyer, along with the presentation of the color guard representing each area of the armed forces.
